Jane Iredale vs Kanebo

It is unlikely for a girl like me, or any girl for that matter, to not know anything about beauty products. Well, truth be told I don’t and this is one department I’m in dire need help of. My beauty kit, as they call it, contains only the basics to save space and lighten the load – pressed powder, lip balm, sun block, blush if necessary and perfume.

Today, I realized I’m running out of pressed powder. I’ve been using Nu Skin pressed powder for two years. It was my first which my mom gave to me two years ago. The only time I get to put this to good use is when an occasion calls for it. As for normal days, I’d prefer going out wearing only sunblock.

If I’ve guessed it right, I only have two weeks or so before I completely ran out of pressed powder. Although I’m satisfied with the product, I just want to try out other brands. I’ve been reading forums lately regarding which brands are good for oily skin. But the more I’m reading, the more I’m getting confused. There are so many options to choose from. I honestly can hardly make up my mind. After hours of reading one forum to another, I’ve managed to narrow down my choices to two: Jane Iredale pressed powder or Kanebo total finish foundation.

I haven’t tried mineral make up before so If I choose Jane Iredale, this would be my first. While the latter is a japanese brand specifically made for asian skin. These are two entirely different products but they have one thing in common – they are both expensive. Which I don’t mind at all because I’d be using it for as long as it will last. Now, as to which one I’ll get, I still have no idea. What do you think?

I suggest the Jane Iredale pressed powder. For starters, it’s easy to apply and lasts. Secondly, the mineral make-up is good for oily skin and Jane Iredale specially designs all of her make-up around this reason. I would suggest getting it at http://www.AgelessApple.com because they have sales a lot of the time. If you’re really concerned aboutthe oily-ness of your skin I’d think about investing in Jane Iredale’s product called Absence. You put it on just like the powder, and it balances out your pH. Then you just put the PurePressed Powder over it. Also, you mentioned that you’re concerned aboutKanebo beng designed for Asian skin. I’ve personally attended one of Jane Iredale’s workshops. A lot of the shades of her powders are specially designed for Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern and African skin tones, so I wouldn’t be too worried about that. Also, if you buy it from http://www.AgelessApple.com they usually ship the same day and offer free shipping if your order is over $100. Good luck!
